Oh my gosh, what a day yesterday was. I was up a little after 4am as I was determined to get my website live for pre-orders, as daunting as finishing a website was. Now I’ll preface this by saying that my “computer” life, started back in the 70’s on a manual typewriter at school, so getting buttons and emails and shops working on a website, is way out of my comfort zone. You should have seen the standing ovation I gave myself when I worked out how to sort an automated email for a purchase, you’d think I’d won a Logie! So fingers crossed things run smoothly, if not, let me know and I’ll tinker some more…
While this head-scratching was going on in my home, my darling sister was sitting in a Canadian airport on her way back to Scotland, so she was my guinea pig - can you see this? Does this make sense? Invariably the answer was no. Back to “private” mode I go…Thankfully she had a couple of hours to wait, so what better thing to do than help your sister out. A big shout out to my friend Deb, the first person to officially purchase the book online and it worked my end, said email was received by her and the world was a wonderful place! She was bombarded with texts and calls in the process, but she has the patience of a saint and indulged me.
Today we’re up early again, it’s now a little after 5. The magnificent beast has been fed and watered and gone back to bed. I have a Nora Roberts from the local second-hand bookshop, so maybe I’ll go back and join her. Have a lovely Sunday!
