Oh, what fun, having a real live journal to share with the world. My friend who helped me set this up had it amazingly correct in calling this “5am Musings” as here I am, up with the larks and it’s pitch-black outside.
What a journey this book has been. My obsession with the stars increased ten-fold whilst writing The Star Kids, the characters in my book became my best friends and laughter and tears filled my tiny cottage as my thoughts filled the screen in front of me. Gosh I hope you enjoy it.
This has been a huge learning curve for me, not only writing the book, but the editing and going back and forth on illustrations and now, heaven forbid, learning how to manage a website and market myself. I think the hardest thing I have encountered is not having anyone at hand to bounce things off. To ask… “I wonder what will happen if I press this button” and someone yelling “no don’t do that…”! My view is “what’s the worst that can happen…”. So if you see imperfections on here, it’s all me, learning, struggling, doing the best that I can learning a new career in my 60’s. Ooh la la I don’t know what got into me!
So let’s go on this journey together and if you know anyone that may love this book, shimmer with their child through its pages, I would love you to let them know about it. If I can bring a smile, then my job is done.
With lots of sparking love…
